How To Convert PowerPoint Presentation To Video and Add Narration To It
If you have a great PowerPoint presentation and do not know how to convert it into a video and upload to video sharing sites, then you have come to the right place. You can also make product explanatory videos easily with PowerPoint presentations and use it to promote your products for affiliate marketing. More over, you can easily add narration to it. This way we can reach more audiences. So, I will go through step-by-step how to do it. This is a picture how-to article, so just hover over on the thumbnail image to see the original image.
Basic requirements for creating your video from PowerPoint presentation are:
1. Windows XP or higher.
2. Windows movie maker (this is built in with Windows XP).
3. Internet Connection.
4. Knowledge about how to make your own PowerPoint presentations.
5. Creativity.
Open your PowerPoint presentation and press Save As from the file menu. Don’t forget to save it in a place where you can easily remember. In the Save As Type drop down press JPEG File Interchange Format.
You will be asked “do you want to export every slide or current slide only” press every slide. Then press ok.
Open Windows Moviemaker. It will mostly be in Start Windows → Programs.
Windows Moviemaker will look like this.
In moviemaker, press File→ Import into collections
Go to the location where you have saved your PowerPoint presentation as JPEG format. Point the cursor at the first slide → press shift key → press last slide → press Import.
Your slides will be imported like this.
Click Show Storyboard
Now drag the slides and place in the storyboard. You can change the order of the slides as you wish. After finishing your narration, press Stop Narration. Your narration will get saved. Press ok for the prompt. Press “done” which is just below Stop Narration. Your narration will get added automatically.
Now, it is time to add narration to our video. Press the microphone icon. Make sure that you have inserted your microphone. You can also add pre-recorded narration, which we will see below.
Press Start Narration.
While narrating if you want your slide to be shown a little longer, use the arrow in between the slides to extend the time a slide is shown.
To add a pre-recorded narration, import the narration (the wave file) as we did previously for importing the slides.
Drag the wave file in to the Audio/Music tab.
Adjust the time the slide is shown based on your pre-recorded narration. You can preview before saving by pressing play in the video player on the right hand side. Now we are almost done.
Now, we have to save into video. Press Save Movie File from File Menu.
Save it in My Computer
Enter a file name for your video
Now press Next and once again Next and save the video. It will take some time for the video to get converted and saved. After that press finished.
